Now opening its doors every Sunday, Benares is bringing in a new brunch menu that should keep you feasting from noon till night.
It’s easy to lose track of time when you’re having such fun eating, which is why Atul’s All-Day Sunday Brunch at Benares may just be the place to be each week. It’s the brunch that keeps on going even when you can’t any longer, right up until 10pm. Chef and owner Atul Kochhar has certainly got the right idea here.
Expect a family-style Indian feast of small plates that include masala omelette, lamb rogan josh, Mangalorean chicken curry, Amritsari sea bass salad and aubergine bhajia. There are 16 options to choose from so you won’t be short on variety and you certainly won’t be going home any less than full to bursting either – exactly how a Sunday brunch should be. Don’t reach your limit before you’ve had dessert though. There’ll be lemon torte, black forest gateaux, rasmalai and a kulfi or sorbet of the day to keep you sweet.
If you’re after a boozy brunch, add on unlimited wine for an extra £25 per person, or if the thought of Monday is enough to prevent you from overindulging, there’s a freshly-squeezed juice and soft drinks option at an additional cost of £10 per person.
The brunch costs £45 per person and includes a glass of sparkling wine or a mango/salt lassi each.
